The displayed price applies to 1 pinion only, all models requried 1 pinion.
For 15/18-ton model, we supply only the latest Gen 2 version. Please count the number of teeth on your current rack before ordering:
- If your rack has 42 teeth, you will need to upgrade the rack, pinion, and roller to the latest Gen 2 version.
- If your rack has 44 or 46 teeth, you can place the order directly.
For all other models, simply place your order according to your machine.
The pinion and rack must be of the same generation. Mixing different generations may cause damage to the machine. The above log splitter parts are only compatible with Forestwest kinetic log splitter.
Important: After installing a new pinion, always check that the rack and pinion mesh correctly before operating the machine. Follow these steps:
Manually pull the rack out slightly, Turn the handle to engage the rack and pinion, Push the rack further downward.
There should be no gap, or only a very slight gap, between the rack and the pinion when properly engaged.
