Description
This Forestwest 80mm Electric Wood Chipper is powered by a robust 2200W high-torque electric motor. Featuring belt-driven drum system with twin reversible dual edge blades for easy access of cleaning and maintenance, it efficiently handles logs with a recommend maximum diameter of 80mm, providing a chipping capacity of approximately 2-4 cubic meters per hour.
Tested in Australia, this wood chipper's 2200W electric motor delivers ample power for processing Australian hardwood such as gum trees and yellow box. In comparison to traditional petrol wood chippers, it offers a more convenient and quieter operation.
Note:
- Please ensure sufficient power supply to the 2200W motor. DO NOT use generator or extension cord longer than 10m to power this machine.
- Please wear necessary safety gears (gloves, goggles, safety boots, etc.) during operation.

This is a super handy unit for what I want, chipping up bits and pieces of green waste to go around trees and on gardens on my property. It's handled nearly everything I have thrown at it and I've gotten over a cubic metre out of it already. It doesn't like really green waste such as veges - as it tends to get caught in the chamber causing the safety switch to trip and you will need to pull things apart to remove the material. The only real issue with this listing is that it says "2200w / 220-240v 10A", the motor however is rated at 13.5A at 220V, which means it can actually end up over the 10A rating very easily and you will find your circuit breaker constantly tripping as a result. Your best option is to run this on a 15A circuit and hopefully the seller will update the listing as it's a little misleading. There was some slight damage on delivery due to the crate it was enclosed in rubbing on the paint, it's purely cosmetic and I did pass it back to the seller, but I got no response. Not sure is that is concerning, but delivery was super fast. Overall the lack of a petrol powered engine on this is a huge bonus, less maintenance, less noise, less spending money on fuel and oil. For me this more than makes up for the smaller capacity when compared to the 100mm petrol model.
