Description
The Forestwest BM729 36" Concrete Power Trowel is an all-round walk-behind power float designed for smoothing, floating and finishing medium-sized concrete slabs, driveways, workshops, garages and commercial flooring.
Powered by a 196cc 5.5HP Loncin petrol engine, the BM729 provides a practical balance between manoeuvrability and surface coverage with its 950mm / 36" working diameter. The adjustable 0°–15° blade pitch allows the operator to change the blade angle as the concrete progresses through different stages of finishing.
A FREE steel float pan is included with the BM729. The float pan is used during the initial power floating stage to help level and consolidate the concrete surface before progressing to final finishing with trowel blades.
Key Features & Benefits
- FREE Steel Float Pan Included: Use the included float pan during the initial floating stage to help level and consolidate fresh concrete before final blade finishing.
- 36" / 950mm Working Diameter: Provides a practical balance between coverage and manoeuvrability for medium-sized concrete slabs.
- 5.5HP Loncin Petrol Engine: 196cc petrol power provides dependable operation for concrete floating and finishing work.
- 0°–15° Adjustable Blade Pitch: Allows the blade angle to be adjusted as the concrete hardens and progresses through the finishing process.
- Centrifugal Safety Shut-Off: Automatically stops the engine if operator control of the machine is lost.
- Quick-Change Blade Compatibility: Supports hardened steel and tempered spring steel blades for different finishing requirements.
- Heavy Duty Steel Float Pan: Hot-rolled steel construction provides durability for repeated concrete floating applications.
- Full Blade Guard: Provides protection around the rotating blade assembly during operation.
- 4.1L Fuel Tank: Provides useful operating capacity for ongoing concrete finishing work.
Why Use a Float Pan?
A float pan is normally used during the earlier stage of power trowelling, when the concrete has firmed enough to support the machine but still requires levelling and consolidation. Its large flat surface distributes the machine weight across the slab and helps close small imperfections while preparing the surface for later finishing passes.
Once the slab has progressed further, the float pan can be removed and the trowel blades used for the final finishing stages.
The BM729 is well suited to driveways, workshops, garages, residential slabs and medium-sized commercial floors where a 36" walk-behind power trowel provides a versatile working size.
For smaller slabs, edges and restricted working areas, consider the Forestwest BM728 24" Edger Power Trowel. For larger slabs where greater coverage is required, step up to the Forestwest BM730 46" Concrete Power Trowel with a 12HP engine and FREE float pan included.
