hello the log splitter has performed as i expected. the unit is very well constructed and handles the wood well i find that the end cradle in catching the works well.
Excellent splitting action, has handled all we have need to process. Manages knotted pieces easily. Downside has been - very jarring to hand, arm and shoulder when engaging splitter handle. We have added an insulating to the handle to soften the operator impact. Also difficult to move the unit around and you had to bend a drag the unit, we have added a high lift handle where the split wood rack sits to lift from a standing position, much more transportable. Finally on second use a sliver of wood managed to wedge itself under the drive slid, stopping it from retracting. This required dismantling to remove it.
Very good - it finds the white gum (Wandoo) harder to split than other hardwoods such as Jarrah
