AustraliaSaving Dodgy Shoulders
Purchased to overcome shoulder difficulties, it works a treat! Best packing seen for quite a while; must be a tetris master! Assembly was quite easy, laying the engine block down on the (thoughtfully) provided cardboard packing allowed addition of wheels and front strut very quickly. Turning the beast onto it's back block and then applying leverage put it upright on the wheels and ready to go. I have now run the beast three times, an initial two block test to check the engine and twice more splitting problem logs that I couldn't dent with an axe. Worked great each time, although the rubber grip on the release handle kept coming off (now glued) and the kick back makes it move. It also pays to re-tighten all nuts after a couple of goes as they tend to vibrate loose. I have now sussed that the two holes in the front strut are for tent pegs to stop recoil. Now for a full session to clear all the old large logs before purchasing next years supply. Highly recommended for home use.

I did a heap of research and I'm glad I did. This things awesome! Smashes through the hardest wood no worries. I was tempted to buy a lower tonnage and therefore cheaper version but I'm glad I didn't. Great product. Well packaged and quick delivery.

I have been amazed how good this splitter is and ease of use! Starts first go. I have been splitting Red river gum, red and yellow box hardwood and it does it with ease!
