700mm Electric Log Saw 3500W
I've just (finally) got it going. It kept tripping my regular 15A breaker. It turns out I needed a 16A RCBO D-curve breaker to cope with the runup current, but now I've got that it works fine, and I'm pleased with it. Converting fallen logs in my paddock into firewood - easily & quickly. The d-curve breaker cost nearly $500 to install. If you don't have one, or don't want to install one - stick with the petrol engine saw. But the electric saw works fine, less noisy than I expected, but still needs eye & ear protection, and preferably a mask as you are near the sawdust plume. The saw handles well (for right handed person). LH on the log and RH operating the swing arm. It makes a big & welcome difference to how I maintain my property.

Fantastic
Have used the saw a few times now, goes through timber (mainly Jam, White Gum and Jarrah) like a hot knife through runny butter!! Came mostly assembled although the instructions are a bit vague for the bits you have to assemble and there were a few washers missing, but to be honest, nothing to complain about really. Great bit of kit. I also bought a 15 Ton splitter which is the muts nuts!!

The saw blade had a number of broken teeth, but it was replaced promptly and then the motor failed and this was also replaced promptly. Excellent after sales service, phone calls when needed, I would recommend Forestwest anytime.
