Only stock in Perth.Upgraded with heavier and stronger flywheel system, generate more power to split hardwood. Stronger stand and bigger wheels for high maneuverability.
Our Forestwest 18ton Kinetic Log Splitter (BM11097P), has incredible splitting action, stronger with heaps of power!!. Tested with Jarrah, Yellow Box, String Bark, and Red Gum. It is a lot more efficient with only 2-3 seconds per split cycle, quicker than the hydraulic models on the market. And it requires very low maintenance,
18ton Kinetic Log Splitter BM11097P can generate up to 18ton splitting force, powered by a 3hp 4-stroke petrol motor.
The complete unit is waist high on its stand, so you don't need to bend over to do any splitting, and the front tray will catch all the split pieces ready for the next split. The recommended log size is 350mm long and 350mm round, while the max log size is 400mm long and 400mm round (this may vary for different types of wood). Perfect for domestic use.
Please be advised, the motor has been changed to RATO 3hp one, mainly because the original 3.5hp petrol motor will spin the flywheels too fast, therefore cause unnecessary wears on the gears, the Rato 3hp one has a more suitable speed.
NOTE: For Petrol Engine: Adjust the speed of the engine to make sure the cycle time is around 2-3 seconds. It is recommended to try and split at a lower speed, and gradually increase the speed of the engine if necessary. Engine running too fast may cause extra wear to the gears inside. Please also wear necessary safety gears(gloves, goggles, safety boots, etc.) during operation.
18ton Kinetic Log Splitter Features:
For kinetic log splitters, the average cycle time is about 2s to 3s, much more efficient than other models.
This 18ton log splitter has been tested with Australian hardwood, like Jarrah, red-gum, stringy bark, etc.
This petrol log splitter is more flexible with the petrol motor - no need to find a power point for operation.
This 18ton log splitter can split firewood up to 400mm long and 400mm in diameter, suitable for most cases.
This splitter is on a stand to avoid bending for operation, easy to use. Large wheels makes it easy to drag around.
Perfect for residential use or small rural areas. If you are tired of the slow motion of hydraulic splitters, this could be the right choice for you.

This splitter is perfect for the type of hard wood I'm splitting. Plenty of power and the fuel efficiency is great. Great investment
I read all the reviews and saw all the videos and liked the concept so purchased the 18 tonner to split 4 kinds of gum - one being ironbark. Admittedly the largest slab would only be 40-50cm across center, ive only had to speed the motor up a little above half throttle a few times to get the extra oomf to split a few rounds where branches/knots were. 1/3 the size of my friends hydrolic splitter, 1/4 of the weight and 1/3 the size motor-- and quicker! Whether it last as long--only time will tell, and like a few of other reviewers stated, the shockwave when you engage the gear can give you a sore wrist, but wrap a bit of bubble plastic around the handle solve that. I dont know how it would be possible to do, but if there was a way to engage the gear shaft smoother it would be 10 stars instead of 9. Hope this is helpfull to anyone trying to decide if this splitter is worth it, the company got this machine to me in far north Qld in 7 days even with the scam lockdowns you poor buggers are in down south and cheaper freight than all other sellers of other splitters were offering--thanks to all. Cheers, Colin
I'm a carpenter and i appreciate good tools. This was the best and most helpful tool i have ever bought hands down. I was a bit hesitant before buying as i had used a Hydraulic one and was not sure if the Kinetic would do as good a job but i was blown away as soon as i used it. I'm 72 and i can not cut wood with an axe any more. So Many Thanks i think you might have given me a few more years of lovely wood fires with the work it saves me. Cheers Garry
